I was searching for a way to shoot raw photos using my iPhone and easily save and export the images. I actually could not find any easy solutions in Google or YouTube.
I also did not want to install any more third party apps if possible.
I already have Adobe Lightroom Mobile in my phone and Lightroom mobile has a camera mode that allows us to shoot in Raw (DNG) with some manual controls.
This is how:
After taking the picture, tap on the share icon and you will see a ‘Export Original’ option right at the bottom of all the other choices.

Select that and you will be asked if you want to share the photo to your camera roll, or Files (in the case of an iPhone – not sure about Android).

The original DNG file will actually be saved into your phone. You can even click to view it. You can either Airdrop the image from your iPhone to your Mac (which is what I do), access the photo from the ‘Files’ app, or transfer using a cable.

One thing to remember is you have to share the images one by one using the ‘Export Original’ feature. I find that the ‘Export Original’ option is not available if I select multiple images to Share.
Hope that helps.

I want to export a Raw file from my Lightroom to my laptop. I use a mirrorless camera. I want the original Raw file, I don’t want it to show up as a JPEG to my laptop as that’s already degraded the quality once.
