It is always more challenging designing a logo for a name that does not really stand for anything. WT Versatile is one of that situation. Instead of the usual graphic of a car, part of a car, or a spanner and nut, which I feel is too cliche and predictable, the other option is to use the letters from the name itself.
I had the letters W, T and V to play with and the above is the one the client chose from the options presented.
LOGO DESIGN RATIONALE
The WT VERSATILE CAR CARE CENTER logo design is inspired by the play of the initials WT & V.
The letter T is created by using negative space between the letter W and the horizontal stroke (Negative space is, quite simply, the space that surrounds an object in a image). It exudes a modern look with clean lines.
The logo leans towards the right direction signifying the company’s advance in products and services – growth and progress in business.
Dark blue colour used on the logo is associated with depth, authority, expertise, and stability. Gold to signify wealth and solidness. Green represents growth and red is the color associated with energy, strength, power, determination as well as passion, and love.
